Disabling explorer's AVI preview

From time to time, when we access a folder from our system containing .avi files, we have to wait forever, even more if there's a lot of videos, before being able to use them, because Windows keeps reading them to get a lot of inservible data we are not interested in.
This great failure can be solved by eliminating this Windows' registry key, {87D62D94-71B3-4b9a-9489-5FE6850DC73E}, and restarting the system after that (remember to asure that it is called something like Avi Preview).
